Amber Tearing My World Apart
Turquoise crashing on dull grey rocks,
Then amber tearing my world apart
You said you wouldn't go for so long
I sit here, with an empty heart.
The sand is rough between my toes.
Cotton puffs are just gliding by.
Our possessions have all turned to ash.
I sit here, asking dear God why.
The sea is whispering out my name,
The seaweed brushing my legs gently
Our son is crying on his own,
I sit here, floating away so free.
Oh currents take me to my love,
I'm sure he waits on great God's land.
I slowly drift off into deep slumber,
I sit here, holding my lover's hand.
